What is an Emergency Notification Service?

An emergency notification system delivers fast, relevant alerts during an emergency or an ongoing crisis situation, to a targeted group of stakeholders. An emergency notification solution is a system in which people can receive instant information during an emergency or times of crisis. It allows for mass messaging via phone, SMS text, and email simultaneously—or by a preferred platform per message.

How to Download an App on iPhone:

  1. Open the App Store

    • Tap the blue App Store icon on your home screen. It looks like an "A" made of popsicle sticks.

  2. Tap the Search Tab

    • It's the magnifying glass icon at the bottom right.

  3. Type the App Name

    • Tap the search bar at the top and type 'Mason County Sheriff Texas'.

  4. Find the App in the Results

    • Look through the list and search 'Mason County Sheriff Texas' you're looking for.

  5. Tap “Get” or the Download Icon

    • If it says "Get", tap it. If you've downloaded it before, you might see a cloud icon — that's fine too!

  6. Use Face ID / Touch ID / Apple ID Password

    • Your phone might ask you to confirm the download with your face, fingerprint, or password.

  7. Wait for the App to Install

    • Once it's done, you’ll see an “Open” button. You can now tap it to use your new app!

How to Download an App on Android:

  1. Open the Google Play Store

    • Tap the Play Store icon on your home screen or in your app drawer. It looks like a colorful triangle.

  2. Tap the Search Bar at the Top

    • It says “Search apps & games” — tap it to type.

  3. Type the App Name

    • Enter 'Mason County Sheriff Texas' and hit the search icon (magnifying glass).

  4. Find the App in the List

    • Look through the results and tap on 'Mason County Sheriff Texas'.

  5. Tap “Install”

    • The green “Install” button will start downloading the app.

  6. Wait for It to Download

    • Once installed, the button will change to say “Open”.

  7. Tap “Open” to Use the App

    • You're all set! You can also find it later in your app drawer.
